TURNING CHALLENGES INTO OPPORTUNITIES
SPRING CLASSES BEGIN MARCH 31: LEARN MORE
Are you or someone you know having difficulty finding employment due to their past?
CATALYST⁴ IS HERE TO HELP!
Sometimes all you need is a chance — and people who believe in you.
Maybe you’re between jobs. Maybe work hasn’t paid enough to make ends meet. Maybe life took a few unexpected turns and you’re ready for something different. Whatever brought you here, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.
Our program was created for people across the Lehigh Valley who are ready to rebuild, restart, or move forward. Many of our students are justice-impacted, in recovery, living with mental health challenges, veterans transitioning to civilian life, or simply under-employed and looking for stability. If your path hasn’t been straight or easy, you’ll fit right in here. We believe your experiences aren’t setbacks — they’re strengths.
We offer free employment and entrepreneurial mindset classes that prepare you for meaningful work, often in the trades where strong wages and steady opportunities are waiting. And if the trades aren’t right for you, we’ll help you explore other options and get the training you need to find a path that is.
Classes meet one full day a week for seven weeks at Northampton Community College’s Fowler Center in Southside Bethlehem. Each day includes breakfast and lunch, so you can simply show up and focus on learning.
In class, you’ll build practical, real-world skills like:
Resume writing and interviewing
Personal finance, including investing and banking
Basic math and workplace skills
Employment and entrepreneurial readiness
We also spend time on being resilient, trauma awareness, confidence building, public speaking, AI, and entrepreneurship — topics our alumni asked for because they matter in real life, not just on paper.
And every step of the way, it’s completely free.
But what really makes this program different is the people.
Our instructors are experienced professionals who volunteer their time because they genuinely care. They don’t just teach — they mentor, encourage, and listen. You’ll be surrounded by people who understand that growth takes support, patience, and community.
And support doesn’t stop when the seven weeks end. We help you move into skills training, on-the-job experience, job placement, or even starting your own business. We stay connected through mentoring and gatherings throughout the year, sharing meals, celebrating wins, and reminding each other that no one is doing this alone.
Because this isn’t just about finding a job.
It’s about rebuilding confidence & community.
It’s about stability and self-worth.
It’s about creating a future you’re proud of — no matter where you’re starting from.

CONGRATULATIONS KYE AND KEVIN
We are proud to share that two CATALYST⁴ champions - Kye and Kevin - graduated from Northampton County Recovery Court as part of the program’s 10th anniversary. One of our champions, Kye Snyder, spoke briefly to reporters about his journey (see video). Kudos to you both.
THANK YOU, TO EDGE RESTAURANT & LOUNGE
We are honored to be recognized for our work by Edge Restaurant and extremely grateful to them for selecting CATALYST⁴ for their August Curbside Charity. Your donation will provide everything we need for our next cohort's classes.
A huge thank‑you to Peoples Security Bank for showing up for CATALYST⁴ in every way that matters
Your financial support keeps our work moving forward, but it’s your volunteerism—your time, your energy, your willingness to stand beside the people we serve—that truly means the world to us. We’re grateful for your partnership and for the heart you bring to our community.
OUR PROGRAM
Our program consists of four main areas: Job creation & training, supportive services such as mentorships, blight abatement and community revitalization. Our goal by focusing on these key four areas is to improve our community’s physical space and benefit the lives of the people within it.
